Fence Judges required for both the BRC Horslyx Festival of the Horse Championships, 20 & 21 May 2017 at Aston-le-Walls, Northants and the BRC NAF Five Star National Horse Trials Championships, 4-6 August 2017 at Swalcliffe Park Equestrian, Nr Banbury, Oxon.You will be incredibly well looked after! We provide you with breakfast and lunch, plus refreshments throughout the day.There is a full briefing so you will know what's in store and you do not need to have done it before. The BRC British Eventing Novice League 2017 is now underwayBritish Riding Cubs (BRC) and British Eventing (BE) have teamed up to offer an exciting opportunity to those BRC members competing at Novice level with BE.This league will be published on the BRC website each week with points awarded to all BRC members who complete a Novice or Open Novice section at a BE event between 1st March and 31st October 2017. BRC World Class Cross-Country and Show Jumping TrainingThese BRC grassroots cross-country and show jumping training sessions have already started across the UK, with many new dates added. They now include sessions for both grassroots and the more experienced rider who will be able to participate, in a range of height categories from 70cm to 90cm. World class instructors such as Yogi Breisner FBHS, William Blane FBHS, Jo Winfield FBHS and Sharon Hunt, will be providing highly informative and motivational instruction at each session. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis and riders will be grouped on ability. BRC Grassroots Points League 2017 The Grassroots Points League is a new opportunity for all BRC members, starting on 1 January, running through to 31 December 2017.All Dressage (Walk & Trot and Prelim Level) and Show Jumping (60cms & 70cms) competitors can gain points at BRC Club organised competitions. Area Qualifiers and National Level competitions will not count.Points can be gained when competing at BRC Club organised competitions only. Riders need to submit their completed scorecards to BRC head office by 7th of each month, so that the online points league can be updated. Scorecards and further information can be found on the BRC Points Leagues website page.
BHS Ride Out Month 2017Plan a pleasure ride or social event in May for Ride Out UK Month and receive 10* BHS branded hi-viz zip up tabards worth £150 and rosettes for your participants. Fundraise during your event and donate what you can to the BHS Paths for Communities Fund, money used to restore and extend multi-user routes across the UK. The Open College of Equine Studies (TOCES)TOCES distance learning courses provide training in equine subjects to students of any age worldwide. Courses include Basic Stable Management for the complete newcomer, Horse Master Series for the more experienced, equine veterinary nursing and a range of BHS and Higher Education programmes. BRC Hat Rule Changes for 2016 From 1.1.16 anyone wishing to compete in a BRC Area, Regional or National competition must wear a hat complying with the new rules below and tagged. Please contact the TSRC if you need your hat tagging and we will try to arrange a session with an accredited representative from Area 1.
